I'm sure you are referring to breastfeeding when asking "When do babies stop eating every 3 hours?" :) My name is Terri and I am a mommy of 3, all of which were breastfed beyond their first year. I think it's fair to say that this varies from baby to baby, but generally speaking, around 6 months once the baby is doing well with solid foods, they tend to nurse less often. Keep up the great work, and enjoy every moment, at times it may seem like it will last forever, but they grow up so fast!

Hi Danielle,

If you feed your baby and then keep him/her awake for about 1 hr to 1 1/2 hr then put them back down to sleep for another 2 - 2 1/2 hours you can stretch him/her to a 3 1/2 hour routine. They will start going longer between feedings when they start staying awake longer between feedings. I have a 10 week old and she goes 3 to 3 1/2 hours between feedings and is sleeping 8.5 hours at night now. It wasn't easy but the thing that makes the difference is teaching them to eat, stay awake, then nap (in that order). And make sure he/she takes in full feedings each time. just a tip - it worked for me! :)

Just takes time for them to grow! The more they eat at one feeding without causing them to get sick, of course, the longer till they get hungry next. I would say anywhere from 4 to 6 months.

My daughter ate every 2 and a half hours until she was 3 months old then it was every 3 during the day and every 4 hours at night until she was six months.
