At what age should my baby start crawling??? My husband and I are worried that our daughter is falling behind.

you can check the WHO web site for average milestones, or at your local health clinic.

Charlotte is 15 mths, and at your daughter's age, could just barely bear weight on her legs with us holding her up. and could sit confidently, but couldn't go any where, or even look like wanting to.

At 10 mths, she could shuffle around on her bottom, at a year could pull herself up and walk around furniture, at 13 mths walk between us, and now at 15 months is walking and going up and down stairs on her feet.

She still can't crawl. Hated tummy time, and hates puting pressure on her knees. But that's ok, so do I.

Depends on how much time she spends on her tummy. At your daughter's doctor's office they should give you info on what's coming up.

I'm a bit OCD about a lot of things, but what I'm getting at is, I like having books on this kind of stuff. Two that our first pediatrician (we've moved a bit) recommended were "What to Expect the First Year" and the AAP's "Caring for Your Baby and Young Child: birth to 5 years of age."

As the other mom's have said, each child progresses through the milestones at their own pace and some just skip some altogether. If you are really worried, give her doc a call. Otherwise, just have fun and enjoy her for what she is doing and let go of the rest for now.

My 2 1/2 year old started crawling at 5 months and started walking at 15 months, my 6 month old just started crawling. All babies are different, some might be quicker in some areas than others. Don't worry! :)

my eldest crawled around 10 - 11 months, but my youngest never did crawl...she just did a bum scoot sort of thing. I wouldn't worry too much, she may just get up and walk one day and skip the crawling

Every baby is different. My kids were 4 months when they started crawling. Then walked at 10 and 11 months.

my daughter is going to be 10 months old in a few days and she just started crawling on her hands and knees about a week ago, whe would scoot on her belly using one arm to pull herself along, looking like a military scoot, they will crawl in their own time. I also was worried and talked to the dr about it, they told me that crawling isn't concidered a milestone because some babies never crawl so i wouldnt be too worried about it

Mylia started crawling at 8 months and just a few weeks later started trying to walk. I would say you should start baby proofing when she gets up on hands and knees and rocks cuz one of these days she'll just take off!

My oldest son didn't crawl till he was 10 months old. My 2 yr. old didn't really crawl. My oldest started walking right after he started crawling. Both of them were pretty big boys and that kind of made it hard for them to crawl. Is she scooting or anything? Every baby is different. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Some babies skip the whole crawling stage. If she's a heavier baby that could be a factor. As long as she's doing everything else then I wouldn't worry. I hope this helps!
