That friend of mine told me that she had to, "Feel her wrath for that day, because she forgot her meds". My son has his quiet moments as well, if you feel he is too much, get him to do something a little more quiet, like colouring or playing with cars or armies or whatever that is more calmer.

I know my son is too. High on life. He loves life and loves his friends, and is very energetic as well. Maybe that is why his grandparents nor aunts don't want to see him, because he is a little bit energetic. My son is fine in school, he just gets in trouble for talking to much sometimes, when he is distracted the teacher moves him away from the distraction and he is fine. My son is not on meds, personally I don't agree with that, because I had a friend who had a 5 year old 2 years ago, she blamed her daughter that she forgot to take her meds. I told her off saying that a 5 year old is not responsible for taking her own medications.

his doc diagnosed him adhd, but i honestly dont think thats the issue, i think he is just naturally high on life, and very energetic. he starts school in a few weeks, i will be montioring his in school and out of school behaviors to decide if i am going to start him back on the meds or not, if he doesnt need em, i'm NOT gonna make him take it, i dont care what the doc says...

Yeah, my son is 7.5 and he likes to climb and climb and climb. I should put him in gymnastics or something. He climbs the couch, the counter, and when given chocolate or slurppies he climbs the walls.

Angie,

I cannot tell you if it gets easier because mine is now 12 and he still scares me how he like to give everything a try. Good Luck.
