I started my son at four months as he was a big baby, and my health nurse said it was okay, as the recommendations now are not to start them on solids until 6 months.
He loved it, especially porridge!!
He is now 20 months and eats anything I give him!!!

I had a very premmie baby and started at only 3 months. You can tell when there ready if they open there mouth dont spit it out etc. I wouldnt be too worried about it unless they choke too much

doctors always advice moms to start feeding a baby after the 6th month, i have three children now and i always felt that they wanted to start eating two months earlier but i begin doing that very slowly day after another and ine kind if baby food after anither because theur stomach is very sensitive especially those with breast feeding inly.

hi, i also started my son on solids when he was 3 and a half months. It definately has settled him. I started giving him a teaspoonful of dry rice cereal mixed with his milk (i expressed breast milk) every morning for a week. Then i gradually increased it. He's now 6 months and has 4 teaspoons dry cereal with milk for breakfast, puried fruit for lunch, and mashed veg for supper. Hope this helps a little. Good luck. :-)
