My pediatrician always told me to start at about 3mo., because even though most babies don't have teeth yet, you can give them a good start by keeping the gums clean. I always started out with those tooth brushes that you can fit over the end of your finger. Those work really great until they do get the first tooth, because it really hurts when they bite! hahaha

You could try brushing her tongue (and gums), but I doubt I would give her the toothbrush herself, but you can see. Bad breath often comes from the stomach, though. See if you notice it coming after certain foods.

Lol My boy had the same problem..Mini baby halitosis( cant spell it lol) haha only jokin!

I didnt start brushing till the 1st tooth started showing really and he hated it but once he discovered he could bite the brisstles on the toothbrush he loved it. So i think you shoud wait untill the teeth/tooth come through in my opinion but i could be wrong,All the best :) x x

Morning, I gave Ellie her toothbrush at about 6 months, then she held it and copied as I brushed mine, then she gets in to the habit of doing them twice a day and it keeps her gums healthy. As for her breath I'm not too sure, I don't remember Ellie's being pongy...so I'm not too sure but I'm sure one of the other fab mums will know! Hope that helps x
