My daughter is fast approaching her first birthday, (she will be 1 January 24th, 2009!) and I am wondering, when should I stop dilluting her juice?? She HATES any type of fruit juice, or mixed fruit juice, and she will only drink carrot juice with fruit juice blend. Strange, I know, but it is just one of the many things that make her my lil darling!!! :P

yeah my boys are 2 and 1 i still dilute.. i think about their teeth and i like the fact that theyre getting some water as well.. plus they both chug it when they get their cups so i figure the water doesnt hurt to get into them lol

actually,it will depend on whether or not your child's tummy can stand to take non-diluted juice.
some kids get there tummys tore up and get diarhea from non-diluted juice.
try SMALL amounts of straight juice at a time,to test it out in their tummys.at least 1 1/2 -2 ounces at a time.no more than that, try it at least every 2 - 3 hours. In my 3yr. old's case, some juices like grape would make him throw up.you need to be really careful about straight juice.Wait till they are at least 2yrs. old before giving straight juice.

I still dilute my son's juice and he's 19 months. I do it for his teeth more than anything else. When kids drink from bottles and sippy cups, the juice hits their teeth, and since kids don't realize how to swallow as effectively as adults, juice tends to sit in their mouth. This leads to decayed teeth when there is a lot of sugar in whatever is in their mouth. Since I'm not a huge believer in toddler toothpaste (lol), I still dilute his juice. I'll probably keep doing it until he starts complaining about it. I agree with Danielle though, asking your ped. is always a good bet.
