My little girl will not crawl she wil army crawl everywhere but she won't crawl. She also wont sit up on her own. SHe can sit if I put her down in the postion but she wont do it on her own. She always want to walk everywhere holding our hands. Is there other babies doing this?

My daughter commando crawled for about four months. It was entertaining watching her as she always had her left leg up in the air (bent at the knee). She only properly crawled for about a month before she started walking. I think she found the commando crawl easier on the wooden floors because then her knees didn't slip out from underneath her.
Being #3 I wasn't in a hurry for her to be mobile. She was walking on her own at 13 months though.

Her not sitting up on her own, you may want to look into. As for not crawling, some babies completely skip crawling and go straight to walking.

you are very correct Jenny, It does help with their motor skills and there is a reason we have developmental steps and skipping them isn't necessarily a good thing.

The longer they crawl is hugely important to their neurological development and tummy time is essential for them to develop strength and they do EVERYTHING from their bellies such as pushing up to sit, crawl etc etc.

Army crawl is one of the first steps to crawling! I will garuntee you that she will crawl withing a month!
Don't worry about the sitting up part, she'll come to that herself before you know it, you wont know what yoyu were worried about.

My son would love to walk everywhere too, he took his first steps at 8 months, and didn't crawl. I later regretted this, and between 9-10months I would purposely place him on his tummy on the floor till he started crawling. It helped with his motor skills, IMO.

Put obstacles on the floor such as rolled up towels that she HAS to lift her legs up to get over. When my daughter started crawling she wormed crawled for months, when I started Gymbaro that's the advice the lady there gave me and my daughter was crawling properly within 2 weeks.

Try to avoid sitting her up, if you keep doing it for her how is she going to learn to do it herself?
