Well I Chose to breast feed till my son was 12 months, its seems like a long time but bottles are nice. They get so many nutrients from it why not. But you should talk to your doctor as well and see what they have to say. I was very close with my sons doctor and it payed off. With the loosing the weight and having a healthy transition from breast milk to cows milk.
Hope that helps

You can lose weight and breastfeed at the same time. Can you go meet with a dietician about this? A good one should be able to help you construct a good plan for what to eat. Start exercising slowly and your body/milk will adjust. It will undoubtedly be slower than you want, but it would be anyway.

If you are happy breastfeeding your son, don't stop. You will not get this time with him back. You can always lose weight, but you cannot rewind the clock. We as a society are much too harsh on ourselves for our appearance. So do not hate your body, it's done amazing things. Just look at the lives it has produced and fed.

Good luck.

I think that is a personal choice. My LO is 7 months old and I feel the same about losing weight. I am going to breast feed for at least a year and we will see after that. I have tried to lose the weight, healthy eating & exercise but to no avail. What little wait I did lose seriously affected my supply. I'm very unhappy with the way I currently look but I still think that is healthier for my baby to BF for at least 1 year and then I can start thinking about me again. That is my personal choice so do what is best for you and your LO!!
