Me and my husband had a little girl about a year ago now. Every since she has been born I have stayed home with her. My husband has been laid off most of the pregnancy and afterwards too money is tight and If I could find a stay at home mom job that isn't a scam that would be perfect. So does any one have any ideas?

I'm not sure why that's not fair. What about selling Avon, or Mary Kay or something? I know there are some "real" jobs you can get doing things like medical billing for example, that you can do from home. I just don't know how you go about doing something like that. Sorry I'm not much help - I like the babysitting idea. I'm actually looking for a kid now that my friend stopped working (I was watching her daughter), so I'm going to put up some flyers around the area with my phone number and maybe put an ad in the paper or something.

I tried looking for babysitting around the area I haven't been too lucky I use sitters.com and care.com to try and find some in my area. As far as my husband staying home with the baby and me getting a job outside the home. I really don't think that is appropriate why would it be fair for me to find a job outside the home but him not have one? I would rather stay home with my little girl and work from my computer if that is possible but there are so many scams

You could babysit other kids - why not get paid to do what you're already doing - being a Mom? Or if hubby is laid off anyway why not have him stay home with your daughter and you get a job outside of the home?
