ok moms, where do you like to buy socks for your young children? i find every sock i bring home shrinks so fast or are so narrow and hard to put on, they cant do them theirselves. Liv is in major need of new socks.

I buy my kids socks from primark, peacocks and sainsburys and they last forever the only problem is i always lose one of them so i have an old shopping bag and hope they are both in the bag when i sort them out lol

I usually buy them as they need them. I like the cute seasonal socks for $1.00 at Target in those bins by the door. But I've found I like these cotton uni-sex socks at KMart. They are white and look like mini-crews. I like them because they don't seem to shrink. No they aren't "pretty" but they are durable! All my girl's other socks, like the lacey trim and Carter's brand, all seem to shrink and/or get lost in the wash or in the car, lol. Best bet is to get one color, the same size. Here's a link to the socks: http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104...

I buy Gymboree socks for my daughter. Never had shrinkage problems, they have been true to size. They also have the grippies on the bottom. I also only buy Gymbo clothes and you can get the ones that perfectly match the outfits which I find is a big plus++

children's place - i love the sticky stuff on the bottom so they can't slip on the floor. baby gap and osh kosh have good ones, too. target's Circo brand ones are good, too.

old navy - you have to buy 4 sizes too big, so i don't bother w/them.

My best results for socks are Baby Gap and Old Navy. Yes, they are a little pricier but the last forever and they don't shrink at all. Those are the only ones my kiddo wears. I don't use any others. And they have the little skidders on the bottom to help them from falling on the wood floor.

Old Navy. The best and most affordable. They do a 5 for $5 every few months. And they last and the grippers don't wear off.

I usually buy Hanes ankle socks from Wal Mart, but I do buy some matching socks for outfits fromt TCP and have had no issues with any of these. I did buy some character sock (Cars) from Wal Mart about a year ago and they shrank and do not stretch at all. They were very poor quality.

I buy the Hanes from Target for all 3 kids, but if I want nicer sockes I goto Gymboree for my daughter.

my son loves ankle socks the no show ones. i get those at family dollar. its 4$ for a package of 8 pairs. they look small but they fit him great. he loves them because the socks that go past his ankle he takes off because they bother him. i used to get walmart socks but sometimes they shrink sometimes they dont its rather frustrating, good luck

OH my!!!! I'm so glad we are not the only people with this problem! I hate buying socks for my kids. They are pricier than the Target and Walmart socks, but I really like the Sonoma socks from Khols. They are thin and stretchy. They don't shrink down like other brands we have tried :)

I buy the walmart socks that come in the plasic baggies like thins. not sure what size you need but me and my husband always buy walmart socks and love them. my daughter is 6 months old and she wears i believe its faded glory ones the kind that are ankle socks. 3 of my neices and 4 of my nephews also wear the faded glory kind with no problems. maybe try putting them in a mesh type bag when washing and drying them. my daughters socks use to stretch and i found out the were geting sucked in by the turny thing in the middle. but once i got the mesh bag that problem stoped.
