I also had 2 sections - the first was in July of 2007, the second was 3 months ago, also in July. Last week I bought a beginner pilates disc from Target for $14.99, and the workout is about 30-45 mins long. All you need is a pilates mat (not a yoga mat, because they are too thin). The first day, I had a little difficulty using my ab muscles - it almost felt like my incision might be tearing, so I took it slow - it took me about an hour. The second day, that feeling was gone. I love it! It's the best thing I've ever done for myself. You can feel the workout everywhere because you use all your muscles, but it's super-low-impact and virtually no strain anywhere. If you are looking for a smooth transition back into working out, I would definitly give pilates a try. Also, it's just perfect for doing while your kids are napping - you have some time left over for other things you need to do!
The disc from Target is Beginner Pilates mat workout with Ana Caban... Hope you give it a try!

I honestly don't know, but there is a diet called Belly Fat Diet that actually works best with losing your fat in your belly primarily. You should look it up and try it. A great cardio workout that does do abs is Zumba. Its a fun latin/indian dance workout. Its taught almost in every town and/or you could just buy the dvds so you don't have to leave home. I hope this helps.
