Running around and Chocolate just b4 bed will stimulate the brain too much Lorraine. It works for others because they have been doing it for long periods of time. A small glass say 4 mouthfulls of Warm milk is all she needs. If she doesn't like the plain flavour add a few drops of vanilla essence, no malt! That stimulates the brain too! You should only need to put it in the microwave oven for 45 secs. Its doesn't need to be hot just warm.

get her to do her alphabeth or count to 20 or 50. flash cards will help too! I know you are doing great with this Lorraine keep up the good work. :-) xoxo

I put it in the microwave for about a minute, it depends on size of cup. I always check it no matter how many times I`ve done it.

I'll going to definitely get the exercise in after school. I also will try the warm milk. Do you put it in the microwave & for how long? Or do you warm the milk on the stove until it boils?

If she takes daytime naps, that will do it. When my oldest girls want to nap after school, I don`t let them because at night they will be wide awake! I agree in letting her run around before bedtime. Warm bath and warm chocloate milk still does the job for all 4 of my kids!

It might be that she is not being completely worn out during the day. I would try taking her for a walk an hour or so before bed or letting her run around outside to burn off the energy.
