I wasn't going to because I don't trust it yet but I have a 10 month old who was born when I was only six months preggo. The pediatrician told me that he should get one and I'm so paranoid that I agreed. Now I'm glad I did. Good Luck

When they first came out with the swine flu shot both my little boys and I went and got them. No side effects at all just a sore arm for a day or so. I did a lot of research on it before I said yes to getting it done especially since I'm pregnant. I knew more then my mother-in-law and she's a nurse. It's just like the regular flu shot, egg based but a different virus. I know family members who had the swine flu and it ain't pretty.

I got the shot for my older son and my baby will get it when he is old enough. He isn't in school yet and doesn't go to daycare but he is around other children. He gets the regular flu shot and doesn't mind shots that much. I would rather the poke then taking the chance of my child dying.

I had mine, at the same time my son had it done too (the shot), I had to study all the pros and cons of it and to me the pros outweighed the cons. good luck.

My 7 month old son had his swine flu jab on mon and he cried for literally 2 seconds then was smiling again and he was fine after it, no after affects. Its def worth him getting it in my opinion just for peace of mind, its awful to think what could happen if he got swine flu!!

No way. I'm also 8 months pregnant with our second and won't get it myself. I've never gotten regular flu vaccines either.

i was thinking should i or shouldnt i for a while but in the end i said yes because i wouldn't like my 2 yr old daughter to get the swine flu, i taught it would be better for her go through getting the needle rather than the torture of the actual swine flu!!hope this helps and goodluck with it ok!!

The nasal spray sounds good but i don't think we can get it here in the UK.

I am 90% sure i will go for it,however, i really don't like putting my bubba through upset with another injection. I would love to hear how many doctors have given their children the vaccine?

My son recieved his h1n1 shot at 6 months and I dont regret it. It is completely harmless. They have two forms of the vaccine, activated, and deactivated. They will give him/her the deactivated so that he/she will not get sick with the virus to build antibodies. He will not have any illnesses except for if he has reactions. I would definately recommend givein him/her the shot. Good Luck with your decisions!

I struggled with this one myself. After going back & forth on it I decided to do it for him. He has a history of getting strep & pnemonia. The thought of him getting that is awful.
Healthy children have died from getting H1N1. I know there are so many opinions on this. My son will be 5 in Feb. God bless you always. I hope you do what you feel is best for your child and be confident in your decisions.

Do it for sure! My whole family had the swine flu this year it was horrable. My girls had fevers of 103.5 for 4 days and the sickness lastest almost 10 days. I encourage everyone to do it I still did it for my kids after they had it becasue I would do anything to not see them go through it again. The ones that are against the vaccine have not experinced what it is like to have the sickness or take care of a child with it. Take the percaution. There is also a nasal spray avaliable if you dont want to give them the shot.
