I have run a daycare out of my home. I let people know at my church that I was looking for some kids. I found a set of twins right away and I got paid good money for staying at home with my own kids and loving 2 more. The great thing about finding someone you know is that you can take the extra ones with you to doctor visits or anything else that you need to do. I was able to set my own hours and get holidays off. I scheduled family vactions and just notified the parents of the dates. You can contact your state and see what you need to do to get started. I live in Idaho and most counties do not requre you to be licensed if you have under 6 kids. I you need contracts I just asked the local daycare if I could have an application, I also got some of my applications and contracts through the state,

Being a stay at home mom is great! But, in these days, it is nice to have extra income coming in. These options are great. I am here with another one which is super important for moms who want to make sure that their families are safe and live in a non-toxic home -- SHAKLEE! It is a great company that sells all natural home cleaning products, makeup and beauty supplies, and vitamins and supplements! They are such great products. You might have seen them featured on Oprah or in one of your magazines. If you are interested in being a distributor or just interested in buying products that will help make your home non-toxic, please email me - cara.nitz@gmail.com.

Have you found anything that looks good yet? I've looked for a couple of years and haven't been able to find anything. Luckily, we've been able to slide by just on my husbands job. I've looked into doing surveys on the internet but they all want you to buy a product or something that involves doing something I'm not willing to do. I've been wanting to start my own cake decorating business from home, but that too requires a lot of cash for starting up and supplies. If you happen to find something, post it! I'm sure there are plenty of us who'd like to kow what you find!

I do daycare and I love it. I was working from home but by the time I paid for gas and daycare it was not adding up so I talked with my husband and we decided to give it a try. It has been almost a year and I love it. I am home with my kids and still making enough money. I know it is not for everyone but once you figure in everything it might work for you also.

Have you ever thought about freelance writing? I see people posting on craigslist looking for people to do freelance writing. My sister in law is a stay at home mom and she writes articles very frequently. The only money she has had to put out has been money for gas to drive around and interview people for her articles.

A friend of mine suggested to check out this website www.elance.com

I have entered in some of my information, but I haven't had time to just sit down and really check it out. Supposedly there are jobs you can bid on and earn money doing them from home. It is a virtual type of deal and you work with the company as to the pay scale ect. I hope this helps a little bit. I am sorry that I can't tell you if it works yet, but it maybe worth checking out.

I started up with Tupperware 15 months ago, basically to support my habbit and work around my girls! But I have ended up earning money and meeting some amazing people. I am in Melbourne Aust and here there is no $ out of pocket at all to get started.. If you are ever looking at something like party plan though you have to make sure its something you love!

I know you are getting a lot of offers but I hope you can just keep an open mind and choose whatever fits your life best. I have done many direct sales businesses; Mary Kay in college, Creative Memories in my early married years, and when I had my baby I started selling Discovery Toys products. It's perfect for me because my husband is in the military so I can't depend on his schedule to take care of my daughter while I do parties, no matter when they are. I take my daughter to parties with me and there are other children there for her to play with...and I bring the toys! It's also a great way for me to meet mom's and make friends for myself and my daughter in a new community. I earn free product which I use as gifts for my own child as well as baby gifts, birthdays, ect...it has saved us a lot of money! I also earn an income to contribute to our family budget. I meet new customers at play group, the bounce house, the park, anywhere I am with my child. If you are interested in this please message me and I will find you a representative in your area to sign up with so you can have direct contact with your upline (I currently live in Germany!).

This info is for anyone looking for a work from home position.

Look into Tastefully Simple. I have been a consultant for 10 months now and have made some decent money. I was able to pay my car off, I paid for my son's gym class with that money and have a good stash for Christmas gifts. They are having a deal right now that you can pay for your kit in 3 payments- so you can earn your money for your kit with your 1st party, before your next 2 payments are due. Let me know if you want anymore info- you can e-mail me at: mytimetoshine@comcast.net, my name is Kim. Hope this helps you!

Lori Ann, when my son turned 1, we needed a two income household and I refused to let someone else raise my son. I have been successfully working an at-home business for a year, bringing in $1-2K/ month with 10-15 hours per week. (which I do during naptime, in between facebook time...)

My criteria were pretty strick, and this company met all of them. 1: I can stay home with my guy, 2: I make good money for my time, 3: It is free to start since I am doing it to make money, not pay money.

In the interest of not selling my business on Circle of Moms, you can contact me if you want more info.

Really, I am looking to just find something where I don't need to put any money into it. You read about processing rebates & data entry, those are somethings I can do from home. But I don't want to put in any money. With all the scams out there, it is hard to find.

The first thing you HAVE to do is figure out what you really enjoy. I LOVE to cook and bake. I almost "fell" into Pampered Chef as a way of supporting my "habit". I used to cater and with a newborn, that is just tooooo much work. I love to organize parties, and this was the perfect fit for me. Its only $155 to start, and they are having a special that if you have a $1000 party within your first 3 months, you get $100 of that back, so it only costs you $55 for all your stuff...and you get to keep it all...and USE it all the time! Id love to tell you more about it, so if you are interested, email me at pamperedchefbarbih@yahoo.com. But definitely figure out what you like to do first, you have to be passionate about it, that way you enjoy it and love being home with the kids too!!

I sell Beauticontrol. I am an Independent Consultant. which means I paid to start selling it, but I only paid $99 (during a special sale) to get a package of inventory worth over $500 if I sold it all. Right now until the 31st it will be $99 again. Let me know if your interested.

There are a lot of stay at home type of jobs out there it's just a matter of finding what is right and works for you. You can go to abcnews.com and search for work from home jobs. I know they have done quite a few segments on this and have some helpful links posted. They also explain how to look out and stay clear of scams.
