I am really freaking out as I had no idea i was pregnant. I went on te depo shot in the beginning stages of pregnancy, i used medication, glycophage, i drank and later switched to Yasmin. I noticed a drastic change around my middle and went for blood tests. It was positive. When i went to the gyno in Feb I was already 18-19 weeks pregnant. I would never have done these things if i had know i was pregnant. No one has positive reactions when i tell them my story. i just keep on hoping and praying that my little one will be okay.

I know how terrible it is to worry, but if it makes you feel any better, during one of my pregnancies, my husband left a gas can full of gasoline in the garage, and the fumes were coming into our house for probably 3 days before I noticed (in my first trimester). The house was all closed up and it happened gradually, so I actually had to go outside then come back in to notice it, and I hadn't been out for a few days due to feeling nauseous. I had to take 3 or 4 medications (some risky for pregnancy) because of a persistent ear infection. I was worried the whole pregnancy. But she is fine! :)
Also another of my pregnancies, I was too nauseous to take vitamins, so I didn't... and she's totally healthy too. And I was eating high-mercury fish a bunch of times before I knew too.
I know so many people who drank before they knew, and also many people who were on birth control for months before they knew too! Additionally, I know two people who drank on purpose (!) a glass per day through the whole pregnancy and their kids were okay too! I know it seems crazy to think that it's possible for the baby to be okay, but they are quite strong!

It's going to be a boy :) My doc said its impossible to say what is going to happen with the little one. He answered me in another way - told me that if I were to ask him to do an abortion, he would refuse as there is a chance that the baby would be fine. I did the down syndrome tests which gave me a result of 1:7000. I'm not drinking alcohol or any pills at all and I've been living on veggies, fruit, yoghurt etc. (except when I'm having cravings that is). I'm taking my vitamins -doing everything to be as healthy as possible.

I'm sorry, Michelle. That's nerve wracking. What does your OB say? If it's any consolation, my friend is a labor and delivery nurse. She says she's met TONS of mom who never knew they were pregnant, some for 6 months, and they did all manner of stuff to their bodies but their babies were born healthy. I would just be as healthy as possible and keep talking to your doctor.
