Be part of the Solution:Help Save the Gulf. This is a national tragedy which requires a national response. www.matteroftrust.org needs everyone's help in collectiing hair and fur clippings, nylons, and donations for shipping to create booms and mats to encircle the spilled oil, soak it up on the beaches and treat oil soaked animals. Make sure your hairdresser and dog groomers (and those in your area) are sending their hair clippings to www.matteroftrust.org. Get the word out, call any media outlet that will listen, blog on your facebook page and flood your email lists. Together we are the solution. Save the Gulf: Get A Haircut, Every Inch Helps!

We need the help of good women to clean this mess up.

Please help us.

Make sure your hairdresser is participating. Shipping cost donations are tax deductible and shipping donation jars are encouraged to support multiple donations from individual shops. We have only 6,000 shops signed up. Don't just assume your shop is one of them. Make sure. Be direct and ask them. Encourage them. Check for the Matter of Trust poster. Be an advocate for your country and your children's future. Hair salon donations are voluntary not mandatory. Check and make sure your hair dresser and dog grooms in your area are signed up. Make a few phone calls, download our flyer and send them out. Call your local paper to do a story especially if you are getting your haircut to help. Be a part of the Mom movement to save the Gulf and America. We need Mom's help.

I saw this on the news the other day. I will be checking into it before my next haircut!

I have donated my last haircut. It was the first one i had in almost a year so there was about 3 inches gone. Every little bit counts so i hope the shops in my area are collecting themselves.
