I am not at all a morning person so getting going in the morning was always difficult for me, and now with a one year old and a seven month old it was starting to be nearly impossible.  Then my husband and I changed our schedule around and now I keep the girls up later at night so they will sleep longer in the morning (an advantage to being a stay at home mom of babies).  If I am lucky they will sleep until 9 giving me time to shower and put together an outfit that at least matches, and maybe even get to the dishes.

I am assuming you have a very young baby? I always just brought my newborns or small babies into the bathroom with me either in their car seats or little bouncy chair and took a shower, fixed my hair and put my make up on. They might fuss a little but they quickly got used to the routine. I always felt so much better when I was put together even if I only had two hours of sleep the night before. Now don't get me wrong with my first couple their were days I would stay in my PJ's, but with the last two I didn't have that option since I had kids in pre school and other activities so you just learn to make it part of your routine. After 6 years of staying at home now I can ALMOST take a shower without someone coming in and interuppting me :)

Well I don't know how old your child is or anything, but I know my almost 12 month old is very good at playing on her own. If I need to wash my hair during the day shes content being in her hair chair with some snacks watching me wash it in the sink. Or if I need to put on some make-up or get dressed she just plays with some toys and watches me outside the bathroom.
