In that case, isn't that just called family money? Husbands shouldn't be treating their wives as if they aren't an equal partner in earning the family income anyway. It's not HIS money, the term he should be using is "our". If you have to feel you should be paid by your husband, then you need to re-examine the equality in your marriage. That money should be accessible to you anyway.

If mothers have child benefit, then its won't be a bad idea tho! But our husband's must do the payment

So you think it is your right to be paid by the government to have kids? I'm sorry, I am not seeing what is so funny about my post.

I agree with Jodi.
It was my choice to have children, not the government's, so I should be the one supporting them.

Why is it the government's job to pay to raise your kids? Foster parents don't get paid as a "reward". The government doesn't pay people to "reward" them for anything. They provide financial assistance to those who need it (and believe me, foster parents need it - if you knew half of what those foster kids had probably been through and what support they need, you wouldn't see that money as a reward).

Raising your children should be reward enough. If you are a stay at home mother, then you and your partner have clearly made the choice that you can afford to stay at home with your child. You do not need financial assistance.

it would be nice if gov. decided that we are bringing up the next generation of tax payers and rewarded us for job well done, like they reward foster parents.
