Zoe having issues with fear at bedtime plz help

This is a kid that has sleeped thru the night for me since day one. But lately she has been afraid of her bedroom and I dont know why. I thought she was afraid of the dark but she still wants me to turn the light off and keep her nightlight on. Then she expressed fear of the window so I thought it was the sounds of June bugs hitting the window. But why would they hit a window with no light in it. I am very confused and bed time is a touch and go kinda thing. One night she is ok no problems other nights she is hysterically terrified.

Everyone has said Monster Spray...It works! My mom had monster spray for my brother, and I was afraid of my window too...I thought that the evil queen from Snow White was watching me, so mom put some fabreeze and water in a spray bottle and wrote "Evil Queen" Spray...I sprayed it in my room every night before bed. lol.

she is still in a crib and we are trying to get her in a real bed so the only time our cat will sleep with her is in her big girl bed. I am gunna try the mommy store haha and see if this works. I cant even bring her in her room for a diaper change daily.

We used Monster spray, and also bears or other stuffed animals that would chase away any nightmares that happened to try to come to the kids.

Another thing is if you have a pet, the pet sleeping witht hem is a great sedative. :) Son 6, sleeps with our puppy, and sleeps through the night, knowing that Rocky will bite and chase any nightmares that come for him.

Have you tried monster spray? Or whatever it is she is scared of? "Scary window" spray? LOL

No seriously, this works for most kids scared of monsters. You explain that you got special monster spray that keeps the monsters away from the mommy shop where only mommies can go. Make a spray with water and something she can smell (put some essential oil or lemon in there) and you get her to help you spray it around the room before she goes to bed.

Special monster repellant teddies from the mommy shop also work well.

My son was having same issues scared of something outside the window so since it was summer time i started keeping the window open with no curtains and outside light onand i used to sit inside the room while he would sleep by himself sleep in his own bed in 20 min. at max. i also talked to him that there is no such thing as monsters but if he still insisted we together invented blessed powder that i made with little babypowder and glitter so we would to gather pray and sprinkle it arround his bed or where ever he wanted and then angels start protecting him.........worked very well for me but this struggle took a good full month still some times have to do it but he sleeps in dark by himself as long as he knows i am arround somewhere close to his room.....best of luck!

@ Sarah~ That is exactly what I do at night time. But my bottle says "Monster spray" because that's what he said was there.

get room freashner and cover it with paper and write bad be gone and have her spry it when going to bed so it gets rid of all the bad things.sometimes kids just happen to see things on tv that scare them they will out grow it but be crative with things and try different things this helped with monsters and things cuz they think they are protected by the smell lol. but they out grow needed it.
