Hair Wars!

I started hair wars against BM recently. Mostly for fun. BM does some weird stuff to SD's hair and it was really annoying me. So now, I'm returning the favor by doing funny stuff to her hair right before transfers. SD is almost 5 so anything I do to her hair is awesome to her anyway and it's nice bonding time. It seemed like BM liked the last style I did and that just cracks me up even more. I need to start taking pictures so I can make a mini scrapbook of it. Something for SD to laugh about in a few years.
What do you do to add a little fun to your situation?

I have never thought of it that way. There are plenty of things that bm does that annoys me. If I do it back (not to get even or hurt my sd, but another way to bond with sd) then maybe it would be less stress for me!!! Thanks for the idea!!

For a cheap crimper you should go to the Goodwill. They have all that stuff at a really big discounted rate (I would just soak it in disinfectant and such first!). We got our heated curlers from there and it is so much fun!

Nicole - I know what you mean! I actaully take my oldest (my sd) to the salon once in a while for "big girl day" and sometimes she gets her nails done and sometimes we get pedis, but it always seems like the nail polish I put on at home lasts longer! lol... Oh well, we touch up our toes at least once a week anyway! :D

Betty, I know what you mean! I actually have a crimper that I use on myself sometimes. I have slightly wavy hair towards the ends, so crimping it every now and then is nice. I have crimped my daughters hair hours before she leaves to go back home. I think it looks really cute...it's nothing crazy, so I don't think it's a big deal. My daughter and I have fun with nail polish... I have always painted my daughters nails for her...usually something girly and bright like purple or a bright pink, something sparkly...ya know! Last month when my daughter turned 8, her BM took her to get her nails done professionally...by the time she got back to me, most of it was off and she asked to re-paint them. This weekend, she painted her toe nails a really bright pink!

That's so random but I love it. I know what video you're talking about too.
I'm not big fan of styling hair and neither is SD but it's fun to go crazy on it right before a transfer and every time someone complements her on her hair she will think about me. I need to find a crimper. That would rock my world.

I love doing my daughter's hair! I take a picture of it every morning and I am making a fun slideshow of her hairstyles through the last few years (kinda like this one guy did a few years ago, but it was just pictures of his face).
