i had the hospital lend me dvds on everythin from labour to what to expect what will happen as well as help with breastfeedin or the early development and more they were so helpful as if you go into process without anything you willfreak/stress more!

but they are right breathing is important and the pushing process is like doing a poo lol! the midwifes really helped me through the support

I had my first child at 16 and my last at 29. I took birthing classes with my third child at age 25 and it was the smartest move I ever made. You will go into delivery knowing all the terms your nurses and doctors are using. You will be confident in yourself because you understand. They will teach you about your options for medications and procedures during labor and what to expect with baby when you get home. Good luck and congratulations

i think its a waste of money all you have to do is breath and push like goin number 2...even if u do decide to do it you can watch videos that teach you on the internet....the internet has everything

I took Bradley classes when I was 18 I felt a little funny being a young mom, being single and bringing a girlfriend as my coach, but it was okay. They were quite friendly and supportive. You'll learn about breathing no matter what type of class, probably some anatomy too, yours. You'll learn about some hospital protocals or procedures if you're going to a class sponsered by the hospital or birthing center you'll be delivering at. Late pregancy nutrition, Kegels, squats, maybe weight control, breastfeeding. You'll likely see some delivery videos.

Your coach will learn to say, "You're doing Great!"

Good luck!

when i was expecting my daughter (my first child) honestly, i didn't go to any birthing classes and i did great!

all you have to remember is to breathe while you are having contractions and push (like you are going number 2) and you will do just fine.
