well i was friends with one of my moms coworkers daughter and she told her mom who told my mom. She told my dad. it was hard because my older sister had a baby at 16 and my dad disowned her. My parents excepted my decision to keep the baby. Not happy about it though. To tell you the truth it brought us closer in the long run.

Well see I was 17 when i found out i was pregnant! I took 4 tests because I didnt believe the first 3 :p well anyways my parents are real BIG christains and I knew my mom would cry and my dad would blow smoke outta his ears. So I faked my period for a week. See I normally have my period for about a week so I acted like I started on a Monday and I would go and like take the tampons and open them and take the tissue out and flush it and put the plastic back in the wrapper like I normally would. Well I did this til Friday when my period should have ended and well my mom took me in the car and basically told me she knew and has known since I told her I started. So when we got home she took my phone and my car...not too happy. but about a week later I got everything back and now i'm 18 and 31 weeks prego

when I missed my second period straight and my cousin kept telling me I was pregnant I finally took the test and I was. I was scared and felt depressed so I called my mom and told her. She came up and stayed with me for a few days and she told my step mother and for about 2 months they hinted at it to my daddy but nobody would flat out tell him because we all knew he was gonna go off.

I called my mom just a few minutes after i found out and she was super excited because my mother loves kids she has 7 of her own and then i was scared to tell my dad and was going to tell him the next day cause it was about 9 oclock at night when we found out and i made the mistake of calling my oldest sister and telling her but i asked her not to tell dad because i was going to tell him the next day and she called him right after i got off the phone with him. so he called me and asked me if there was something i needed to tell him and i told him i was pregnant and he told me he was proud of me i was so shocked when he told me he was proud of me because i had been with my boyfriend just 3 months and was only 17

My Mother was easy -- I knew she'd be happy no matter what. After I got it verified at the hospital that I was indeed pregnant and had it on paper, I just showed up at her work and handed her the paper and smiled. She said congratulations and the rest was history. Of course she was more than happy to be a Grandmother.
My Father was totally a different story. Hes a quiet, stern, more conservative man - I suppose I should say. Him and I had sort of an absent relationship even though Ive been living with him since I was 9. Hes just very to himself and we didnt engage in much conversation. I was so scared and nervous and almost ashamed to tell him - due to my young age and everything. It took me about two weeks+ after I found out, but finally -- one day when he was home from work, sitting on the couch, reading the paper, I sat next to him and just said 'Im having a baby, Dad. I know youre not happy or proud. I know that I have nothing to offer. But Im keeping it and I want to be happy and I dont care about what anyone else has to say or how anyone else feels about it, I just want your support. Youre my father and I am your only child and I need you.' He was a little shocked at first but after seeing me drowning in tears, he said 'Okay. Ill support you. But youve got to do what youve got to do to support this baby.' And ever since then.. Ive felt this crazy rekindle in our relationship and he's been totally supportive and it means more than EVERYTHING to me. Hes handled it so great. And I think hes extremely happy that Im having a boy since he only had the chance to have me[obviously a girl lol] before him and my mom seperated. Its been wonderful having my fathers support.

I was 16 when I found out (17 when I had her) and my little sister told my Dad & Step mother..then they scheduled me an appointment at an abortion clinic (without telling me) and when my Dad told me about it, I said "I'm not going!" and he was like "WHAT?!" I said, "I'm keeping this baby" and he grabbed my whole face a threw me across the room into a chair and said "then you can't live here, you're on your own"...

I was 16 years old when I foiund out, when I was "late" I went to planned parenthood and took a test and it was positive, I then walked around for a bit thinking on how to tell my grandmother n mom. I went home (grandmas house) and was like " I am late and just had a test done it said positive, but they said to go to the drs just to be 100%." So we did and my mom met us there and I came out and my gram to my mom said "Hi grandma" my mom was "Why Kayla?" Then made an appt at the OBGYN. My grandmother has been my biggest supporter! Wouldnt be where I am today without her. And her and my son (great grandson) are 2 peas in a pod.

After all the replies... Ill add mine. I was 15 when I found out. I told my then boyfriend that I was pregnant after taking the test, he refused to believe me but told his mom that I thought I was pregnant. She bought me yet another test. I took it and again, it was positive. He still didnt believe me. His mom called my parents to come over to talk. They pretty much figured it out on the way over. My parents then took me to a walk-in clinic and there it was officially confirmed. I was due on August 10th, 2006 with a beautiful little girl. It was rough but finding out was a great Christmas present! My parents were shocked but supported me in every way. They love my daughter to pieces and wouldnt have things any other way!

My mother read my diary. SHe was rather happy actually. I was 16 weeks at the time. My Step-dad was disappointed. I was a dux student, so being 15 and pregnant kinda changed EVERYTHING. My Father however couldnt care less. But he knocked up his first girlfriend when she was 16, so he was kinda used to it.

Id been sick for weeks, but as Id had a bleed since last time Id had sex, I didnt think I was pregnant. When I found out, I told my best friend, and she kept quiet. Shes irreplaceable. I love her to death. But my mum started wondering why I was losing so much weight, and wanted to see if I was anorexic, so she read my diary. Im glad it happened this way. But mum then told my exes parents, who promptly hit the roof at him (his father was the religious education teacher at my school).

I wait to tell my mom til I got out of my GED class.I was scared cuz even though she is my mother I didn't no what she would think of me after I told her..... How I told her was I showed her my test that I has taken the night before. she was upset but I think she was happy at the same time. Telling my father was a little diffrent of course, Cuz I am his only daughter, But that story ends there cuz I never told him my mother did.

I was 17 when I got pregnant with my first kid and I was at my mom's house talking to my sister about it and my mom walked in the room and we shut up real quick. She asked us what we were talking about and said jokingly, "What are you pregnant?" I just stared at her and started crying. lol I never actually had to tell my mom because she thought she was joking but guessed it anyways. lol That was an interesting day. She freaked out a little bit but after a few minutes SHE was reassuring ME.

I didn't have to tell them. My dad's insurance changed and so the wrong insurance company was getting the doctor bills so they sent them to my dad and step mom. He called my mom and asked her about it and finally I told my dad and then within the next few days my mom found out. I only had 3 weeks left to go when they both found out. My mom didn't kick me out or anything like that and I'm still in high school.

[deleted account]

I lived next door to hear and freaked out because I was only with my now hubby for 3 months. But when I told her I was preggers with Twins I told her "The baby has 4 legs and 4 arms" she freaked out and though there was a birth defect. LOL

I was 15 and my mom Just came out and asked me one day after I had been leaving subtle hints. I think she was a little embarrassed and so she made me an appointment for birth control and while in with the doctor she said we need a pregnancy test first. I turned out to already be 16 weeks. My mom has been supportive unto this day, she is still my saving grace as I raise 3 teenagers myself now and my 8 month old granddaughter (I am only 35). My mom is wonderful. Through it all I graduated on time and continued on to college. Good luck and God bless, remember mom has been there just maybe not as early as you.

I got sick and my mother had to take me to get treated at the hospital emergency room. The doctor ran some test came back and said I was pregnant. You should have seen the look on his face when he told me. Well he asked me did I want to tell or should he. I said Im not going to tell he would have to. She is going to skin me alive. Back when I was younger you could not even imagine what I went through. I was so scared and you know the rest. What I am saying basically is make sure that you allow it to be told. I was very terrified but it had to be done. My daughter is grown and has two children of her own.

I was really nervous about telling my mother because I didn't know how she would react...but my baby's father threatened to tell her himself, so I finally sat down with her for lunch one day on campus and asked her "mom, how much do you want grandbabies?" She asked me why and I just kinda gave her a look. She said "oh dee your not...?" I told her I was and that I kept getting horribly sick and she immediately took action and got me saltines and made me a doctor's appointment. She was really great about the whole situation.

I was only 16 at the time.. and the father of my son (my bf) had just turned 19.. I was in denial for the first two months.. He kept telling me to get a test right from the night we forgot the condom.. He actually asked me to get the morning after pill.. But for some reason i thought you had to get morning sickness the morning after it happened so i really didnt think i needed it.. Then I missed my first period and he was begging me for a test and i kept saying id get to it because i figured if i didnt know I wasn't.. Then by the second month he forced me.. By then he said he see changes in my body.. My mom had no clue the whole time.. When i found out and she picked me uo the whole ride home we were talking about all my friends that have had babies.. when we got home I waited for her to sit down and said, "so you know how we were just talking about my friends with babies.. well I'm having one too" she just said for f*** sakes Heather and told me i need to quit smoking.. which i did immediatly.. my dad passed away when I was 3 but my stepdad was supper excited

Well let's see, I found out that I was pregnant in January of this year just newlywed also, and on top of that a week before I found out my grandmother who was dearest to me and my mom passed away, a week before that me and my husband just got married, All of these happened on Saturday's except for my grandmother passing away it was on the 18th in which was a Sunday. I had went the Wednesday after to buy a pregnancy test, well I didn't want to take it until I was at my mom's house just with me and her because she knew that I was late and so she suspected that I was and so that Saturday we knew that my dad and brother would be gone and we would be by ourselves. So my husband took me to my parents house that morning and I took the test and it came out that I was pregnant. So she was there when I found out, but her reaction was what I expected which was very happy, and supportive, and so right after we finished talking I called my husband and told him that he needed to come to my parents house and when he got to there house I told him and he asked me if I positive and I showed him the test and then he told me that he was scared but would be there for me through thick and thin, because he married me and wants me to be his for the rest of our lives. Then when my dad got home I told him and he was happy and supportive. My mom, dad, and husband have been the biggest support that I could ask for. I'm 19 now and I have a beautiful baby girl who will be 3 months old exactly on Christmas day. (:

But being a full-time mommy, full-time wife, full-time daughter, and a full-time student is very hard work. I give my daughter the best that she deserves, no that is not talking about clothes and all that, yeah she has nice clothes but I'm talking about like feeding wise, I don't think that breast is best because I think that bottle is best.

I am 38 years old and omg I remember it like it was yesterday! I was maybe 17 yrs. old, sitll in high school. I remeber my dad saying...you made your bed and you will lie in it. Of course I was his only girl and I'm sure he felt, not my daughter. It's okay! The best thing to do is let them know. Regarless of the response, you are pregnant and now it's time to grow up and be a responsible mother for your child. Your child will always count on you! Lessons are learned everyday, good and bad it's what you do with them after the fact. You can still make your parents proud while also making your child proud. It's what you make of it. Good luck and god bless!
