Yes, it's fine. Not all moms feel that way all at once. It can take a while for some to really be hit by the act that it is their child. Don't worry about it unless you're resentful towards him or are having problems with caring for him. If that happens talk to your doctor.

My son is 4 months old, and quite often, althouh i know i love him, i freak out because i suddenly realise that yes i am his mummy, and that he needs me. Its really great that you spoke up, i thought i was the only one.

Honestly I was 17 when I had my daughter and I know what you are saying...It's not that you don't love your son, but it takes some people longer than others to get that feeling. Now that I am older I had another baby and it came right away and sometimes I feel like I have favored one child over the other, but it is just because even though my body was ready my mind wasn't. I know older moms that haven't had it hit them yet and there child is almost 1. In time you'll see how you are with your child and how you love them so.
