My son is 6 months old and I have somewhat of a routine for him, but its not super strict. He wakes up around 8:30 plays eats at 10 or 10:30 and goes down for a nap around 11 or 11:30 is up no later 1:30 and then we play or run errands whatever i need to get done an he has a bottle naps at 4:30 - 5:30 up an plays till 7 when he eats dinner then we wind down with cuddle time a bottle and bed by 9. I really dont stress if he misses something though, kids are always changing as will their schedule.

I have sleeping routines, but my daughter eats whenever she feels like it. I know when shes hungry she will literally come up to me and scream mommma mommma, so either she needs a diaper changed over food ( usually its food ). Anything else she just does, she doesn't have certain times for anything besides sleep.

Routine is essential! even though I'm a stay at home mum I find that my son being in a routine is essential for me to get any errands and household chores done, and it makes my day so much easier knowing what he needs next rather than just guessing. My son also knows that as soon as his bottle goes in the microwave its bottle time and he goes to the couch and waits or if his bowl goes into the microwave he goes to his highchair. he know his routine well enough that he reminds me what its time for by sitting at his highchair at the couch and even sitting in the door of his bedroom and rubbing his eyes when its time for sleep.

My son has a routine that he made himself...his sleep and food are on a routine. When he was very small we made a routine for him but once he got bigger we let go a little bit and he made up his own routine.

I think sleeping routines are good but i don't have a food routine. My daughter has her 3 meals a day but not at a set time each day i did try it but she just seems to be hungry at diffrent tims of the day! But if your child will have routine its probably a good idea! But in my experince i don't think food routine really matters.
