Hi everyone,
My 10 month old is not eating at all, how much ever I try !!! He takes only 2-3 spoons(baby spoon which I got when he was 4 mnth old) of food for his breakfast, lunch, dinner. He does not like any snacks either. If I let him play with the food in the hope that he will eat it, he just plays with it and puts very little in his mouth. He also does not drink much formula, he only drinks 1 or 2 oz at a time 2 times a day and while sleeping at night he drinks 4-5 oz. I had tried cereal in a bottle and he drank it for almost 4-5 days. Now, he knows by the taste that cereal is mixed in his drink and until I give him plain formula he does not drink his cereal+milk. I have tried not trying to feed him so that he gets hungry, but this guy does not get hungry at all !!! In his 6th month check up he was in the 50th percentile for weight and in his 9th month check up it came down to 30th percentile. Though his led said, he is active and healthy so I should not worry about it, but as a mom I can't help stop worrying and let him play, scream, crawl all day without any food !!! By 9 month he was eating little so his weight was in 30th percentile. But, this past one month He is only eating like 10 baby spoonfuls of food in a whole day !!!! I am at my wit's end - please help me !!!

Thank you Natalie...My son is doing much better now...He started eating finger foods...he used to had gag reflux before but after continues trying giving him finger foods...now he eats some like Cheese, Sweet potato, Squash, mixed veggies, crackers, puffs, cookies, Strawberries ...had one year appointment a week ago and the doctor wasnt concerned about him not eating much...as long as he is hitting his milestones he said not to worry much...

Thank you so much Natalie for your response, it made me feel a lot better. By the way, I posted this 2 months back and in the meantime his appetite shows some improvement some days and same old other days, may be like your daughter :)

As long as he has wet diapers and is playing happily you are fine hun. You should only worry if he shows signs of dehydration: no tears when crying, dry diapers ect You must also know that his tummy is the size of his fist, so to us it seems like next to no food but to him he's had a full turkey dinner :) I have a 33 month old and some days she doenst it much and some days she wont stop eating lol Don't worry so much, best thing to do is just keep offering foods and relax if he wont eat it, you don't want to make meal times stressful :)
