We moved two months ago cross country, still slept fine. He switched to whole milk months ago ,still slept fine. He had his regular nap schedule, slept fine. He got his molars in and was teething, still slept fine. This week he won't nap(even though he's tired) and when we put him down for bed he cries FOREVER! If I go and get him he's fine. Stops crying. He'll gladly fall asleep on me. Then if I try to sleep with him he starts playing or poking me. As happy as ever. During the night he used to sleep 11 to 12 hours, this week off and on to waking up every two hours screaming. I'm at a loss here. Suggestions are SO welcome!

Ya know he sorta acts scared to go go down. I was wondering about that too.

I talked to my sister and sister in law who both have multiple kids and they both said to get his energy out more and feed him a little oatmeal before bedtime. I've noticed his eating has become more sparce since he's been feeding himself more. He's throwing more food that really eating. So he may just be hungry through the night. We're trying a new sleep routine with some oatmeal so far it's helped. Last night he slept better.

I'm glad to hear he slept better. I was just thinking, too, a time when my daughter was screaming crying in her crib. I went in and she was pointing to the wall where a sliver of light was coming through the curtains and shimmering on the wall. I think she was scared of it. Little kids can be scared of the strangest things.
I hope he continues to sleep well, give him extra hugs and cuddles before bed. Good luck

Are you giving one nap during the day or two? Maybe it's time to cut it down to one nap later in the day?
Could he be scared of something that is in his room? My daughter was scared of the small decorative butterflies I put up in her room, she would cry and cry at nap time.
It could be a pre-18 month old sleep regression, possibly?
You could try giving him a dose of acetaminophen about 30-40 minutes before his nap time, it could be the canine teeth?
