2 year old not listening

My daughter is 28 months old today and my husband and I enrolled her in daycare a while ago here on-post on an hourly basis just to let her play with other kids and get used to being in that type of environment. Today was her first day ever and I had her scheduled from about 11 AM - 3 PM. So when my husband went to pick her up he asked how she was and they said she didn't listen. Now I'm wondering if there's something I'm doing wrong or is it typical of a 2 year old not to listen? Like I said, she's never been to daycare before and I think she was a bit overwhelmed with all the kids and toys but her not listening still bothers me. When we dropped her off, they were all playing outside and I imagine when they said it was time to go inside she probably didn't listen and wanted to stay out and play. She listens at home as much as I would expect a 2 year old to. Then again, she is my only child so I don't have any way of comparing. Anyway, when I tell her it's time for dinner she comes and sits down, if she tries to get up out of her seat I tell her to sit back down and she does. If I tell her it's time to go to bed she goes to her room, etc, etc. However, on a daily basis she is getting into stuff I don't want her to get into and at this point I just take away what she's not supposed to have or take her away from whatever she's getting into. I don't know if I should take her there again or wait until she gets a little older. I feel like I don't know what I'm doing. :(

I am laughing, not at you but at the daycare people telling you she doesn't listen. HELLO. She's 2!!!! My husband is 38 and STILL doesn't listen!!!!!!!!! She will get better at this once she understands language better. Don't worry AT ALL. My son is 3 and listens 1/2 the time, my daughter is about to be 2 and doesn't listen much at all.
