My 3 year old crys, screams and whines all the time when he doesn't get what he wants or doesn't like what we're doing. I've tried everything with him. Time out works at home but not when we're out in public. He will not take 'no'. He just keeps asking over and over again.

We've all been there! A public tantrum can be embarrassing and it may feel like everyone is looking, but most people have experienced it at one time or another. Although embarrassing, it is very normal. Here's an article with some suggestions on ways to calm your toddler you might find helpful, http://bit.ly/1rokfJJ The more consistent you can be, even when you are outside of the house, the better the outcome. Definitely easier said then done! Hang in there! You've got this!! : )

Do a time out when you are out too. He is testing the boundaries. You can either find a spot in the store or place you are at or leave your stuff and go to the car. Turn up the radio and let him take his time out while you listen to music. Then when time out is done go back in and finish what you were doing. Once he realizes time outs happen anywhere the behavior will change.
