My daughter 9 and son 4 still pee most nights. Keeping fluids and food away before bedtime helps, as does taking them to the bathroom if you are awake. My doctor has recommended meds or the shock treatment (mild), but I am going to let it ride out. Sometimes this is hereditary and I know a lot of kids that stop around the age of 10. If my daughter doesn't in a year, I will look into alternative methods... but I think some kids just sleep heavy. They talk and sometimes sleepwalk too - which also shows how deep they sleep.

Sometimes a visit to the chiropractor can help. I have tried giving my son (gasp!) candy in the morning if he stays dry (he is only 3, though).

I found out with my 5 year old, about and hour to two hours before bed no more fluids. Then about the time me and my husband go to bed one of us would get her out of bed and walk her to the bathroom and have her go to the bathroom. We left the lights off except night lights so she wouldn't fully wake up.
