So my son has always slept through the night. Even when he was a newborn. He is now almost a year and a half. Last night out of no where he woke up at 3:30 Am I thought it might be because he might need a dipper change. But as soon as I picked him up he started to fall back to sleep. I changed his dipper and carried him to his bed. He was almost asleep. when I laid him down he started to cry, so I read him a story and waited till he was breathing heavy. He woke up about 10 min later crying. I tried to not pick him up I just read him a story again. This went on for about an hour or so. Going back to sleep and waking up. It got to the point where I took him to my room and laid with him in my bed. I have NEVER done this before But he fell right back to sleep like it was nothing... Im scared this will start a bad habit. I have never wanted my son to be tied to my bed.. What can I do next time to help him sleep in his own room?

I am not sure, my son some times does the same thing it happens about once every 3 months. I still dont have a problem with him sleeping in his own bed. I asked the doctors about it and they said that he could just be having dreams or that he feels that he needs some extra bonding time. They told me to I could just rub his back so that I didnt have to pick him up. This has worked sometimes. But they did say that if it doesnt happen that often that I would not be forming any bad habits if I did what I was doing
