I have been primarily using a breast pump for the last year since my son was born to bottle feed him milk.
Now that he will be one year this week, I'd like to switch to soy formula while I continue to give him watered down juice in a sippy cup.
Any tips for this? I did do 1/3rd soy formula with 2/3rds breast milk this a.m. and he drank that bottle with no issues.
And any specific sippy cups that worked best for your child/children? I should mention our son is our first child.
Thanks ladies, and I look forward to any input you want to share :)

yeah my son was breast feed up until he was 4 months then he started to drink lets say way more i feed him 6 onces of breast milk and still hungry so i gave him another 6 ounces of formula and was full but by 5 months he was off breats and still drinking 12 ounces but became lactic intolerant and was on soy formula at one he tried milk and was fine but since he was that age he had constipation even up until this day when he drinks or eats to much milk things i was scared that my baby girl would be that way to cause i have been getting a bad tummy when i drink milk to,, so if milk made us all feel bad wouldnt that be a allergy? and wouldn 't it show up on the test ?? my mom cant have milk things she gets really sick, and i thought that if a baby is breast feed that r very unlikely to have a milk allergy or be sick as often? or is this old news?

thnx for your input Jenny
a sensitive and gassy baby belly could improve with soy formula, but don't quote me
my son was a bit gassy when first born but that was just from my dairy diet I believe
we haven't had any allergy tests done yet, as I wanted to wait until after he was a year old. from the little research I have done babys tolerance for certain things is changing at a fast rate at this young age.
maybe try the formula in the link below as this is what I am trying now. Just a thought, hope this helps.
thnx again for your input :) Have a wonderful day!

oh ok just to help me, cause my baby is on the sensitive and gassy do you think she will need to be on soy milk or do you think her tummy will except milk? cause the one she's on says its the last step before soy,, now shes had breast milk for 4 weeks but i had to stop and tried just regular formula and she wouldnt drink but 1 ounce so i gave her this other kind and she can drink 8 ounces if she wants to what do you think ? and did you ask the doctor about testing ur baby for allergies that could solve alot i had it dont with my son cause he out of the blue got hives and we ran test for over 300 things and nothing 7 months and we had to move later they were gone and that was 8 years ago

we are not giving our child any dairy or wheat as my husband was born with lots of different allergies so we are forgoing those for a little while longer.
we are only introducing soy formula because I wish to stop pumping and the formula we have done research on fits what we want to stick to, which is primarily organic foods.
he currently eats organic pureed foods and some of what my husband and I eat, though he was strictly bm until 8 months.
we are introducing the soy formula suited for 1 year and up.
