So me and my ex have been separated for about 8 months. My son just turned two and had been seeing his dad Bout once. Month every since. He calls him daddy, recognizes his as daddy and has recently identified him as daddy on the phone. But for the last few months hell see random guy, during down the street, in the store ect. and ask "that daddy?" Or That daddy!!" And I don't understand why. The only others me figure he is around is his uncle Nd he knows that he's uncle, but no other males. So I'm wondering if he knows that "daddy" is his dad, or is that just a male to him? Makes me wonder if its doing more harm than good by seeing him. Please tell me what you think.

I don't think you should worry. I am a widow. My little girl's daddy passed away before she was born. When she would visit my mother-in-law, my MIL would show her pictures of her daddy. When my daughter was about your son's age, she started calling all men daddy. At that time she was too young to really "get it", It only lasted a little while. She finally began to understand and say that her daddy was in Heaven with Jesus. Your little guy will understand soon that his daddy is his only daddy. I used to say "he might be a daddy, but he's not your daddy".
