Hello! i need help. i have a 3 month old son and stopped breastfeeding when he was 2 months and a 1/2 due to barely milk. but now i feel sooo guilty for taking this away from him (even though he barely accepted my milk but preferred the bottle). is there ANYTHING that i can do to get my milk supply back? please help.

Pumping with a hospital grade double electric pump 8-10 times a day, offering the breast frequently and skin-to-skin contact. Healthy nursing tea is great help for more milk production!

It's only been a few weeks, so absolutely. How were you determining that you barely had any milk? It's so important to recognize what means you are producing enough and what does NOT mean you have low supply. As long as he was getting enough diapers, your supply is fine.

Now that you've been giving formula, you'll need to build your supply back and wean off formula. Here's a link about how to wean off formula supplements:

And a link about how to relactate:

The most important thing is to nurse often. Milk works on supply and demand, so the more baby "demands" either by nursing or pump, the more you will make. Will baby take the breast at all?
