My 3yr old was kissing his friend...Is this normal I have tried to explain to him that you only kiss your mommy & daddy & brother's but he just doesn't seem to understand. He just loves everyone & doesn't understand he can't do that with his friend??? Any advice on what to do???

As long as the friend and the mother are ok with it, why not? My son's a kisser too, so he kisses everyone in the family and his friends, but usually lip kisses are reserved for family. He kisses my friends and my husband's friends on the cheeks as well. It's adorable and can be done in a very respectful way.

I think they just don't understand at this age who they should and shouldn't kiss. When my daughter was 3, priest bent down to talk to her and she kissed him full on the mouth (needless to say he was a little shocked) She doesn't really kiss all her friends, but she does hug them. I agree that he probably will out grow it, especially as his friends start telling him to stop

my little boy is the same way. he will grow out it. just make sure he knows it's not always appropate. some kids don't like all the kisses and hugs. but if it really brothers you then get down to his eye level and try to help him understand.

I don't there's anything wrong with him kissing his friend. It's better than him hitting, then you would have a huge problem. I would say enjoy this stage for as long as you can before he gets (too old for kisses) . My little brother hugged and kissed everyone and everyone loved it

What's wrong w/ giving his friend a kiss?... as long as the friend doesn't object, of course....

Hugs and kisses are normal ways of showing affection... especially for little kids. Just explain to him that not everyone likes it, so he should ask first if it is ok.
