I was just talking to friends tonight about Father's Day journals to start when your children are young. You ask your children the same questions each year (you can find lists on pinterest - examples are 'your dad's favorite food, what you love doing with dad, etc) and keep them in a journal. Eventually your children will be able to add their own entries and personal thoughts in addition to answering the questions. I plan to start one for my husband this year.

Our son is 19 months old and we're gonna try doing a mold of his foot and hand. There is a kit at Wal Mart for about $15. After it's dry you can decorate it, paint it, however you like. Also, it comes with hooks that you put in before the plaster sets so that they can be hung on the wall. I helped a friend of mine's daughter (she's 7) do this for her Mom last year for Christmas and she loved it. We're also making a Father's day card out of construction paper and crayons instead of buying one. We did that this year for Valentine's day and my husband still has his hanging on the fridge, he's so proud! LOL
