The only way my son will sleep in his bed is if I put him their after he falls asleep in the living room. But he doesn't stay their he comes over into our bedroom in the middle of the night and sleeps on the floor. And lately he is not wanting to go to sleep until 10pm.

Get a childproof knob cover for his door so that he can't open it on his own, and simply shut the door when it's time for bed. You just need to make it a no nonsense thing that bedtime is bedtime. He needs to go to bed and stay there. You're the mom and you decide bedtime. If he doesn't think he ready to go to sleep, he's old enough to understand that he needs to simply lie in bed because it's bedtime and that's what you do. Hope things work out for you soon!

I have the same problem with my 2 1/2 yr old. She WILL not stay in her bed. I have a 9 month old and am so worried about her waking him I just let her come in my room. Its very hard to deal with. I learned from her and NEVER let my son sleep in my room. SO, I hope you get some good advice. i could use it too =)

He is 4, tell him its bedtime and stick to it. Put your foot down. When he enters your room tell him to go back to his own.
