My son is 14 mos and and he days .. mom, mama, dada, and uh oh. He responds to questions with laughs and whimpers, like when asked if he wants milk, etc. The grunting sometimes is almost constant. Whether he's eating or in the bath tub or watching TV. He's a grunter! Lol. Just wondering how normal this is.

Yup, like Shila said, Etfyfh. lol jk...
I think Ariana hit it on the nail. It is pretty normal for that age to not be saying a lot of words, but you could definitely start teaching him now. My kids learned how to sign "more, please" and "milk" around that age. It was fun to teach them and it gave them a way to communicate in a valid language other then whining and pointing to what they want. Reading stories and talking to him in a normal voice will help to increase his vocabulary. My son who is now 21 months started saying more words when I bought him one of those books full of pictures and taught him how to say the words. He got really excited about it when he was about 18 months. Before that, all he could say was bye bye, mama, dada, thank you, and the names of closest family members. My other son didn't really say much at all until after 2. If I did it over again, I probably could've got him talking sooner, but I was a first time mom and didn't know I could do that...Anyway, good luck and "grunts" to the baby...
