My husband and I keep being asked if we're having a second child but he is not enthusiastic about it and I have no desire for another.I know it would be company for my 3 year old but sometimes I find just one pretty exhausting. It seems like a lot of moms are excited to have their second. Am I in the minority to feel like this?

I think that one child is exhausting! I honestly find sibling groups easier. The kids play together and help each other. One child can often demand more attention than two or three because you're their only company. My mother-in-laws says no matter how many kids you have they just take all of your time. When we had only one we were perfectly happy with just one, then we had two and I was totally happy with that. Now we have four. I never ached for more kids. I just knew that when I imagined life twenty or thirty years in the future I liked the idea of a bigger family than a smaller one.
