Help ! My 3 year old is out of control after his baby sister was born - I don't know how to deal with it anymore

I'm alone taking care of my newborn and my 3 year old. My 3 year old used to be very easy to take care of. Since baby sister is born he is doing all kind of things, he refuses to eat , is making a lot more mess that he used to in the past, does not want to go potty anymore... he is out of control, i get so mad that i want to spank him, but i try not to because i don't want to hurt his feelings, it won't help i guess, right now i send him to day care twice a week since i'm a working mom and he used to go 5 days just switched him to 2 days so he can spend time with me and the baby. i feel so hopeless , because i feel i don't know him anymore , he cries and yells about everything specially when i'm breastfeeding the baby and he start demanding things like foods or toys , then later he does not eat it or play with the toys .... just leave all of them all over the place ...
I need some advice ... thanks.

He's feeling really put out about the new arrival isn't he. He was number one having all the attention and love and now a new baby has come along and is taking his precious mum away- that's how he sees it. He doesn't want to share you because he loves you sooooooooo much!
You need to try to involve him when looking after the baby so he feels wanted and needed. Ask him to help you look after his little sister and pass the nappies and wet wipes, help make the milk or rub her back for winding etc and give him lots and lots of praise for anything he does to help you. Give him lots of kisses and cuddles so that he knows he's not being pushed aside ( your not doing that but he thinks you are ). Hes doing everything he can at the moment for attention from you but this WILL pass, it will get better once he realises you love him just as much as before. Tell him he's your favourite little boy and baby's your favourite little girl :-D
Aww your doing a great job so hang in there
