My son has been chewing his crib forever now, and is only 18 months old. Yes he is teething, but he also did it when he wasn't teething. I have the cloth rail guards from Babies R Us, and he slides them aside, the plastic guards won't fit on his crib. I put a teething toy in his crib to help at night, and he also has a security blanket that he has to have or he won't go to sleep. He also has a high pitch screaming problem that he has been doing since he was 6 months old, and nothing seems to be breaking him of that habit. Could these 2 things be tied together, as some sort of relief for pain, or are they not linked at all? I am all for putting him into a toddler bed, but our house is wired wrong and the wires for the ceiling fan runs down his wall, and plugs in there. I am so scared that one day I am going to go in and he has a huge splinter in his mouth, I had to take one out of his chin today. Please help
