My daughter is 2 in january 2011 and she still uses her high chair for feeding. How old were yours when you stopped using them? x

Our 3-year old is still using a booster seat. She usually likes it and even buckles herself in. For times when she's eating something messy, the buckles come in handy to keep her from running off with sticky hands!

Our 13-month old will be getting a similar booster seat shortly, so we can get the HUGE high chair out of our dining room!

We have the Fisher-Price boosters with the tray; once the kids are tall enough we stop using the tray and push the seat right up to the table. It works well.

One tip about booster seats - put something under them, like a towel or one of those plastic seat protectors. The kids WILL spill juice under them.

My daughter will be 3 in February and she still sits in a booster otherwise she can't reach! We bought this small booster/high chair (came with a small tray) for her. sometimes she still uses the tray. Having it on the chair helps her feel "bigger" than her little brother who is already bigger than her!

My daughter is also turning 3 in February & still uses her high chair - to be honest I just haven't thought about moving her. She's happy in it so ??

my twin daughters will be 2 in January as well. Their high chairs converted to booster seats, so we recently changed to booster seats. We push them up to the table to eat dinner with us and they seem to eat alot better - just make sure to buckle them in, otherwise they want to get up and go play before they are finished eating. But really, it is all in what works for your daughter. The only reason we decided to switch is because they all of a sudden wern't really eating as well as before, so we thought if they ate at the table like we do they would eat better, and it worked. Good luck with whatever you decide to try.

My daughter still uses her highchair and she will be 3 in Feb. It is really up to you and your child.

My son used his until he was about 2 1/2 or so and then we transitioned him to an old-school youth chair. It's higher than a regular chair but doesn't have a tray or buckles.

I do home day care so we switched our son to a booster style seat shortly after he hit 16 months old when I started looking after a friend of mine's son who was 11 months old.
We really like our The First Years seat because it also had a tray if he wouldn't stop trying to grab our stuff. It also can go entirely in the dishwasher if we want as well as has two height settings for the seat.
We also have a Safety First booster for when we travel.

Our daughter was done with her high chair/booster seat by 2 years of age. She liked sitting in a chair on her knees and was good about it. Our son who just turned 2, he's not ready and will be in a booster seat for awhile longer.

Depends upon the child.

when my dd asked to go in the big chair, we let her, this was just under 2 1/2 years. We had been using a booster seat at our table, so she never felt baby like in it. I would have preferred she stayed in it a bit longer as she was a bit on the short side for seeing what she was eating but she was pretty sure she wanted to do what we did.

My daughter will also be two in January and still uses a high chair. She hates it some days but I like it because I can drag it all around the house when I'm doing other things and she's eating. I think we'll put it away after Christmas when she gets a kid-sized table and chairs for her snacks, and at least take the tray away and push the high chair into the table when we eat, she's pretty tiny still and needs more height than a booster seat.

my son is 15 months and i use it only a couple times a week, like if i need to sweep while he eats. i find he just eats more. at 2 you could probably nmove her to a booster seat or a kids chair and table

My son is 15 months. He has a booster seat with a seat belt, and he sits at the table with us. He even uses utensils (not well, but food does make it to his mouth). We stopped using a highchair when he started throwing food at 12 months, cuz we thought maybe being at the table with us would help. And I guess it did, cuz he hasn't thrown food since then.

My son's booster seat is strapped to a rolling chair (only 'high chair' he's ever had, limited space in our house). He still uses it most of the time and he's 2 years 8 months. Booster seat, high chair, or just on the regular chair at the table... it's really just all about what works best for your family.

I put my son in a booster seat around age 2 1/2. Make sure you get one that has a lap belt. If I didn't buckle my son in he would get up and run around.

My daughter was around 15-16 months before she decided she was done with highchairs. She's been in a booster seat ever since. (she's 19 months)
