Some kids are just slower at things versus other children who pick them up very quickly. Boys in particular are slower at learning than girls.
Listen my 5 year old son who did not speak a word until he was a little over two years old said his first word after watching these videos.

Rock n Learn

His first word was Apple
They have a series of these videos if you look on Amazon I'm sure you can get a great price purchasing a used one. I personally thought they were a little corny but it was catchy to my son.
You can even look on their website www.rocknlearn.Com
Also I would suggest maybe you want to subscribe to
Another part of fun learning, if you are comfortable with giving your child your cell phone and you have an Android or an iPhone you can download these interactive educational apps that are very simple. Singing letters singing numbers singing shapes singing colors.
Try these simple things remember don't ever let your child know that you're stressed behind anything that he or she is or is not doing.
Good luck mom!

Start with your GP or Health Visitor is you have one as they should be able to refer your son to speech and language services and possibly Occupational Therapy if he is having trouble with his Cognitive skills.
