My 16 month old will sleep in his own bed for a while but only because I put him in his bed when he is asleep. As soon as he wakes up he moves into our bed. We really need and want to get him into his own bed but everything we have tried has failed!! He does sleep in our room because we only have one bedroom but he still is not a big fan of his bed. Please help!!!

I have heard some people talk about making dummies to put in bed with them but how do these work?

How often does he wake up in the middle of the night? Maybe if you put a nightlight or something...some kids just transition diff, my nephew refuses to sleep in the same bed as his mom

Well your first mistake is putting him to bed when he's sleeping. Always make sure they're awake. Sit with him until he falls asleep, read to him, pat his back. Try to find something comforting for him like a stuffed animal or a blanket.
