My son Ian (2 and a half) used to sleep in his own room every night until his sister was born. when his sister Melody was born she slept in the room with their father and i for the first two months but since shes been in her own room Ian has been coming into our room every night. It started off to where he would just sneak in during the night, but has now progressed to pitching fits at bedtime if he doesnt get to sleep in our room. it takes forever to get him to go to sleep and most of the time we end up having to lay down in his bed with him for him to go to sleep without waking his sister. but some how he still manages to make it to our room during the night.
PLEASE HELP THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!

I know it does but if you dont feel uncomfortable with it try doing this. Give him a peice of candy every night he sleeps in his bed tell him encouraging words like" "Your a big boy now big boys sleep in their own beds!" or "Your bed is lonely you need to sleep in it!"

My husband has suggested turning his door knob around to lock him in. I just don't know if I can do that it seems kind of cruel
