for children, Suave Kids Cowabunga Coconut shampoo/conditioner in one, no pesticides or chemicals, and its tear free... My oldest has gotten it ALOT since before she was 1yr old, and every time she gets it we use that shampoo and it gets rid of it, and the longer you use it the longer it keeps the "L" word away, she hasn't had it in over a year, and once i got her a different scent shampoo she got it back, so we are going back to the coconut. Something in the scent of coconut oil lice and fleas are not fans of, and it will take a while, but you won't have to use RID - which has never worked for us, and for adults that get it from their kids, any coconut shampoo and conditioner works, or do what I do when I get it from my kids and color your hair, it may actually burn a little coloring your hair when you have lice, from scratching and having whats considered "open wounds" from scratching your scalp, and the chemicals in the hair dye kills the little suckers every time, and if you color every 6-8 wks, you will never have to worry about lice in your hair again, lol... good luck!

this works get a bunch of shortening and coat all the hair and scalp leave in for 3 hours then wash out ( you will need to use Dawn dish soap to remove the shortening)

This will be hard on both of you, but you have to use the lice shampoo, and the little comb that is with it. I won't lie to you, using the comb will hurt, especially if she has longer hair. It is time consuming and tedious. You may have already done all of this. Unfortunately there is really no way to stop the lice from coming back. I had it 7 times as a kid, I always got it from school. The best thing you can do is tell her not to put her head close to anyone else, don't borrow anything from anyone else. Don't let anyone else use her things. Good luck! I hope you manage to get rid of it.

I know when we were kids they use to have medicine at the store for them. I believe it came in a 3 pack. With spray for the house, shampoo and easy comb stuff and a comb. I looked it up its called RID.
