How do i get that naturally curly hair to come back?

Brayden is mixed with African American mom and Italian dad. I have naturally long wavy hair and his dad has naturally long curly hair. When Brayden was a baby I would wash his hair every time he had a bath, which would be in the morning and at night, everyday. I thought this was okay. Well come to find out it was stripping the moisture from his hair. Now his hair is all dry and course feeling. It was long and curly but when I cut it ,after he turned 1, I guess it was cut too low. It is in a short hairstyle but the curls are still there. Will it ever go back to its natural state? How do I get his natural look back?

I'm not sure. It sounds like you've got a number of different things going on. Baby hair is generally different than mature hair though. How your son's hair was before he was a year old is probably not his "natural" hair.

As for how healthy his hair is, if you're caring for it properly, and what styles are possible usually you need a knowledgeable hairdresser to look as the hair and asses it.

I was sad to find out that our youngest can never have the haircut I was hoping he'd have because his hairline is wrong. We can get a close approximation from somebody who really knows what they're doing, but the actual cut I want just won't work.
