Usually when he is tired, wants our attention, frustrated or if a child takes a toy away from him.. Tried everything except biting him back which one friend suggested. Can definately not bring myself to do that!! Who has a solution??

When my 2 year old bites people, i tell him no and put something bitter in his mouth. Shows him not to bite anymore. Or you can do other harsh things like flicking the lip or lightly bite your child back and see how they like it. Not hard enough to leave a mark, just shows them they get the picture, it does help, my son doesnt really bite anymore and i make sure he understands No means No. but hes 2, im sure i will have to work on that a lot more..

I went to Barnes & Nobles and bought a couple books on hitting and biting. Whenever he does that or I hear about it we sit down and read the book and if he keeps it up, he goes to time out for atleast 5-10min. I don't hit or bite back because I think it's wrong to teach our kid to not do something and then do it to them. It confuses them. He gets popped on the but if it's real bad, but most of the time taking a toy away, turning off the cartoons, or putting him in time out works. He hates it and it gets the point across.
