How do you get crayon out of carpet?

I posted this once but don't know how to retrieve the answers (if any)? How do you get crayon out of carpets??? What product is good to try?

Running an iron over it with an old cloth under it can melt it all out, then it soaks into the cloth.

take a damp wash cloth and run an iron over it. It will melt onto the cloth

I heard blotting paper and iron it works, but be careful if the carpet is cheap as you can melt the carpet!!!

I heard the wax paper thing before...I know WD40 takes crayon off any surface...would maybe work for carpet too??

Use a peice of wax paper over the carpet area and it will melt on to the wax.

Just put an old newspaper over the "stain" then iron on the sport with a warm iron...it will work
