She will outgrow it, My 6 yr old was also a thumb sucker she stopped when she was about 5 yrs old, and my 3 yr old sucking thumb as well, so im trying to be patient with her as well.

For my little sister we bought her "big girl panties". They were pretty panties that she couldn't go potty in. If she went in the big girl potty, she got a cookie, or a sucker, or a sticker, or a small little toy from a dollar store. If she didn't go potty in her panties for a month, she got more big girl panties that she got to pick out. After two trips to Walmart to buy new panties, it was good to go.

put a bandaid on it, a really sticky one, to protect the soar and she will prob not like sucking the bandaid so it will prob reduce thumb sucking. Good luck

I have never personally had this problem, but my mother did with my little sister. She would put hot sauce on her thumb every time she caught her sucking it. When the hot sauce didn't work, she went to vinegar. The vinegar worked! Those would probably make the blister and the sore hurt worse tho... Put a band-aid on her finger, get a princess or some other cartoon that she likes, tell her that its a pretty and it won't be pretty anymore if its all wet and yucky so you have to keep it out of your mouth.
We got my son to stop biting by using warhead sour candy spray... One squirt of that stuff and he stopped biting really quick. It might be kind of like the same thing...
Hope something helps ya!
