Today I was working with some sweet potatoes, and my 2yo was helping me by biting each piece as I cut it then saying, "Not cooked" and putting it in the pot. I put some water in the pot and next thing I knew he had taken the smallest pot and was using it on his play kitchen, pouring some water from his sippy cup into the pot and turning the stove on, etc, just like me! It was too cute, although annoying because he HAS play dishes that are all bright and colourful, but no, he has to use real stuff that I then get to wash.

My daughter loves helping herself to cereal! But the other day was so cute... Hubby was mincing garlic and my daughter ran into her room and grabbed a play knife from her "kitchen." When hubby was done she started "cutting" the garlic up herself. Then when I said thank you that is chopped enough, she stopped and licked the play knife. Of course her face twisted up and she started yelling it was hot. The whole scene was super cute and funny.

When our son was smaller he loved playing in the tupperware drawl and with the pots and pans. Our son will be 4 next month and the only time he's interested in the kitchen is when he wants to help me cook, which he loves to do! :)

My youngest helps herself to cheese out of the fridge when ever she gets the chance :) and loves raiding the pan cupboard to make noise and turning the washing machine on and off to drive me mad lol.
